What is the average circumference of a banana?

I would like to know the average circumference of an average banana. If you could find it on the internet or measure one yourself it would be helpful, because I'm having trouble doing either.|||Interesting;- I just grabbed a couple from the fruit bowl and they were about 4" / 10 cms circumference. They were (in my opinion) average size bananas.|||Oh, the possibilities...|||48 feet (you started it!)
