What is the average velocity for the entire trip?

A car makes a trip due north for three-fourths of the time and due south one-fourth of the time. The average northward velocity has a magnitude of 25.6 m/s, and the average southward velocity has a magnitude of 16.0 m/s. What is the average velocity for the entire trip?|||.75x25.6=

.25x16=

add the 2 answers together. wala problem solved

you have to do some of the work yourself...good luck|||With Velocity you have to consider Magnitude and Direction.(Vectors)

The answer is as follows:

(25.6 X .75) - (16.0 X .25) = 15.2 m/s

Note:

If the question read "What is the average speed?", you would need to only consider the magnitude.
