What is the average wieght for a 2 year old chihuahua?

What is the average wieght for a 2 year old chihuahua? My chihuahua is 10lbs and i think he is over weight... what is the average weight?|||it depends on what kind he is cause they weigh from 2-6 pounds and my female is 5-6pounds and shes not even a 1yr and shes not over weight at all! and i just brought an male chihuahua he is only 12 weeks and weigh 2.3 i don't think he will be big cause he was the runt and hes really small!





i also got 2 chihuahua/rat terrier mixed


and they weigh from 14-28pounds|||5lbs|||4-5 pounds. if more than 5, its overweight, specially if its a pure breed.|||I have a 2 year old male chihuahua, and he is only 3 pounds. The vet said he is healthy, so im guessing that is about the normal weight.

The dog may be built larger! The dog needs to have a vet check and the vet will tel you whether or not your dog is overweight.





You cannot ask us we cannot see your dog and its build.

All dogs are different and some are 20 pounds and NOT overweight their genetics had them turn out larger structurally.





Talk to the vet and get their opinion they know your dog best.|||i'm not sure of the AVERAGE weight but my Chihuahua is one year and he's around 4 or 5lb. but it also depends on whether yours is a Teacup, Toy, or regular sized Chihuahua. i'd say 10lb sounds a little heavy but if you make sure he has regular exercise and eats a proper amount of food he should shed uneccesary pounds.|||Chihuahuas by breed standard cannot exceed six pounds, although it is possible to find purebreeds that are up to nine pounds of healthy weight.





Teacup Chihuahuas should be within 2-4 pounds.





It really depends if your chihuahua is a pure breed or not.. but please try to get your chihuahua to lose one pound. Nine pounds is the maximum for purebreed chihuahuas.


A pound for us isn't a lot but for a small dog it is.





Take it for walks everyday. Keep it eating healthy but don't feed it overly much.
